For our second collaboration with director Will Eubank, we developed an information-based title sequence that explores the roots of why the film’s main characters have journeyed seven miles down to bottom of the Mariana Trench in the western Pacific Ocean. Alongside a cool, watery color palette to match, mysterious photographs of underwater figures are combined with newspaper headlines, diagrams, and confidential files about Tian Industries’ secret drilling project, the impacts of which, are about play out in dramatic fashion.
