Working with director JD Dillard, Black Label Media, and their incredible team of filmmakers, Filmograph had the opportunity to bring to life a title sequence that honors the true life legacy of Jesse Brown, the first African-American aviator to complete the U.S. Navy's flight training program, who lost his life in the Korean War. This piece journeys through found naval documents and photography from the 1940s, a time of heightened racial tension and segregation, as we revisit an era that forced Jesse to confront the impossible odds of social and professional conflict, eventually triumphing in the name of family and country.
